Our Smart Saver programs are designed to provide a fun, friendly and educational environment for children, teenagers and young adults to learn about financial responsibility and how credit unions can help them plan for their future.

Service Credit Union offers a Smart Saver Program to kids of all ages:

Money Mammals - for kids 11 and under
Cha-Ching - for kids ages 12 to 16
brass - for kids ages 17 and UP

Each program features a youth savings account, an ATM card for deposits and withdrawals and free online banking. Smart Savers is about more than just saving. It’s about learning how to manage and grow your money, and of course it’s about having fun!

Sign up at any Service Credit Union branch. Many of our branches are located inside Wal-Mart stores and are open 7 days a week with evening hours.
All you need is the social security number of the youth opening the account and $5.

Money Market Accounts from Service Credit Union pay dividends employing the average daily balance method. Our investment dividend tier is set monthly by the Board of Directors, and a minimum $5,000 daily balance is required for dividend eligibility. Dividends are not paid on accounts that are closed during that dividend period.

Money Transfers: You may make up to a combination of six (6) transfers or check withdrawals, from your Money Market account per calendar month to another account, or to a third party by means of a pre-authorized, or telephone order or instruction. In-branch transactions are unlimited.
