This is the third consecutive year Service Credit Union has donated to the Rochester School District.

for third straight year</title>

Service Credit Union President/CEO Gordon A. Simmons was re-elected as chairman of the Defense Credit Union Council for the 2009-2010 term.
Simmons served as chairman for the past two years and from 2000-2002. Simmons was first elected to the DCUC Board as representative-at-large. He also served as second vice chairman from 1996 to 1998 and as first vice chairman for the 1998-1999 terms and from 2006-2007. After completion of this term, Simmons will have served on the board for 15 years.

Brock was an instrumental part of the credit union for 31 years including his appointment as President/CEO in 1980. Under his leadership, the credit union grew from $40 million to $290 million in assets. Brock's sister, Betty Brock McGuire is one of the knitters for the program.

The program uses an in-class curriculum during the school year to teach participants important skills that will equip them to handle money responsibly, set and adhere to budgets, and avoid the pitfalls of debt.
