The Rochester branch is the fifth of seven branches planned to open in New Hampshire Wal-Mart stores. The credit union is sponsoring a week long celebration from May 30th through June 3rd.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (April 25, 2007) --- Edward Murphy, Executive Vice President of Portsmouth-based Service Credit Union, presented a check of $125,000.00 to Governor John Lynch this morning at the State House in Concord. The credit union is raising its initial contribution of $50,000.00 to $125,000 to support the Flood Disaster Recovery Fund which provides assistance for families affected by the severe flooding in the state.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (April 13, 2007) --- Service Credit Union held its 2007 Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 22nd at Wentworth by the Sea. This event marked the 50th Anniversary and the 50th Annual Meeting of the Portsmouth-based credit union.

Vogelweh, Germany (January 11, 2007) Service Credit Union has opened its second new full service branch office in Stuttgart, Germany. Upcoming branch openings in Germany include the Ramstein Kaiserslautern Military Community Center (KMCC). The Stuttgart Panzer Branch location offers complete banking services, featuring "Instant Issuance" of debit and credit cards and will actively serve the community from 1000 to 1800 Monday through Friday, and 1000 to 1400 on Saturdays.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (December 19, 2006) --- Service Credit Union donated Super Wal-Mart gift certificates valued at $400 each to every family in the holiday assistance program at Pease Air Base in Portsmouth. On Monday December 18th , President/CEO Gordon Simmons presented Bonnie Rice, the Family Readiness Program Coordinator for the 157th Air Refueling wing At the Pease Air National Guard Base; eight certificates representing a total contribution of $3200.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (November 20, 2006) --- Service Credit Union sponsored WERZ's Stuff-a-Bus campaign in support of the 2006 Toys for Tots drive in cooperation with the US Marine Corps. From November 21-December 8, Service Credit Union collected unwrapped toys at all 10 branch locations in the state. The donations were presented to WERZ Disc Jockey "Ralphie" on the air Friday night during the station's live broadcast from the Fox Run Mall on December 8th. More than 300 toys were donated to the cause.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (November 20, 2006) --- Service Credit Union's two week food drive concluded today with the weigh-in of donations from all ten New Hampshire Branches. At 10:30 this morning, the scale revealed that credit union members donated 815 lbs worth of non-perishable food items. President/CEO Gordon Simmons was expected to make a match of $3/lb (or $2445). Instead Mr. Simmons wrote a check for $25,000.00 and presented it to Executive Director, Melanie Gosselin.

Vogelweh, Germany (November 6, 2006) Service Credit Union has opened a new full service branch office in Grafenwoehr, Germany. The Grafenwoehr branch is the first of three branches planned to open in Germany over the next nine months.

VOGELWEH, GERMANY (September 28, 2006) --- Service Credit Union sponsored the Kaiserslautern High School Football Team's Uniforms for School year 2006/07. The Kaiserslautern High School Football Team did not have the funds to support their uniforms. The total cost of the team's uniforms was $7,000 and Service Credit Union covered $3,500.
