There are plenty of things to take care of before, during and after deployment, but changing credit unions isn’t one of them. Service Credit Union is committed to serving military and Department of Defense personnel. Because of this, we have developed an array of products to meet your needs – wherever you are.
We offer mobile banking, so you have access to your accounts remotely via Internet banking or our 24-hour live-person contact center. Plus, there are more than 1,700 credit union branches worldwide to handle transactions on your Service Credit Union accounts. As part of today’s military, you must always be prepared for deployment. We understand how critical this is and stand ready to support you and your family through these difficult times.
Checking Accounts –You will need a checking account if you plan to write checks or use a debit card. Our STAR Program offers free checking and other special services for junior enlisted members. We also have free checking options, with no minimum balance, for our more senior military members. The SCU Visa Check Card is also free to all members and offers immediate 24/7 access to your funds on deposit with us. Plus, Service Credit Union's Early Payday Checking gives you access to your paycheck up to 2 days before everyone else. Just sign up for direct deposit and you’re automatically enrolled.
You can also open a separate checking account for your spouse (with you as joint owner) and fund this account through direct transfer from your primary Service Credit Union checking account or through an allotment from your military pay.
Worldwide Branches -Service Credit Union cooperates with hundreds of other credit unions around the world to offer you a network of credit union branches, called CU Service Centers.
